This hand-painted illustration of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta coastline in northern Colombia was created with Daler-Rowney acrylic inks. The artwork was commissioned by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for their documentary series, “Unpacking the Universe: The Making of an Exhibition,” which follows the six-year journey of LACMA’s curators Diana Magaloni and Julia Burtenshaw as they researched, developed, and installed the 2022 exhibition, The Portable Universe / El Universo en tus Manos.
